A Little Red Buoy That Brought Much Joy!!
And an Ooo Err Moment.
The No 4 navigation buoy marking the route into Stronsay harbour broke adrift in the recent high winds, the winds and lack of buoy turned into lack of ferries for a few days.
This in turn caused a lack of supplies in the shops, milk was the first casualty.
Beer was never threatened though!
The above barge battled it's way out here and replaced the buoy ahead of the ferry which had already left Kirkwall at the time.
Good timing............ albeit a little tight!
Another sign that spring is on it's way.
A still life of a Heron.
The Curlews seem to have been away for quite a while now,
so have the Oyster Catchers, but normality is slowly being resumed.
You have to use your imagination a bit here.
Is that a face looking out from the clouds at the Monks island?
Oooo Errr.
Until next time............................
